How do I book the hall?

How much does it cost?
We charge competitive hourly rates for the main hall and committee room. Please contact us for current prices.
How do I pay?
Payment is arranged directly with our bookings secretary – either in person or by invoice.
Can I see the hall before booking?
Of course. Get in touch and we'll arrange a time to show you around. You can also have a look at our gallery.
Can I make a regular weekly or monthly booking?
Yes – many clubs and classes meet here regularly. Let us know the day, time and how often, and we'll check availability.
Should I include setting-up time in my booking?
Yes, please book the full time you'll need the hall, including setting up beforehand and clearing away afterwards.
Rooms & capacity
How many people does the hall hold?
The main hall holds up to 160 seated conference-style (rows of chairs), or 100 for a seminar, banquet or party. The committee room holds up to 15.
Are tables and chairs provided?
Yes. Stacking chairs and folding tables are stored in the main hall. Hirers set them out and put them away.
Can I use the stage?
Yes, the stage is included with the main hall and has curtains.
Kitchen, food & drink
What's in the kitchen?
Hobs, ovens, a plate warmer, fridge freezers, a microwave, kettles, sinks and serving trolleys. See Facilities.
Do you provide catering?
No – hirers arrange their own food, or can bring in their own caterer.
Can we have alcohol?
The hall isn't licensed to sell alcohol, but you're welcome to bring your own.
Facilities
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available. Details are provided with your booking.
Is there a sound system?
Yes, the hall has a PA sound system, and its use is included in the hire charge.
Is there a hearing loop?
Yes, the hall has a loop system for use with hearing aids.
Can I connect a laptop to the TV?
Yes, the 60" TV can be used for presentations, slideshows and films. Please note the hall isn't licensed for live broadcast TV.
Is the hall accessible?
Yes. There is level, step-free access, an accessible toilet, a hearing loop and a disabled parking space right by the entrance.
Is there parking?
Yes, the hall car park has 15 spaces, including 1 disabled space. For larger events, please encourage guests to walk or car share.
On the day
How do I get in?
Access arrangements, including collecting keys, will be confirmed when you book.
What do I need to do at the end of my booking?
Stack away chairs and tables, clean up the kitchen and any spills, take your rubbish home, turn off lights and appliances, and lock up.
Can I put up decorations?
Yes, but please don't use anything that damages the walls or paintwork (no pins, nails or tape that leaves marks) and remove everything at the end. No confetti or glitter, please.
